About

Maria joined LEO at the beginning of 2022, as a Sustainability Project Manager. She brings advanced knowledge of LEED® and Fitwel® processes as well as emissions experience and many sustainability practices. Maria holds a BA in Interior Design as well as certifications in LEED A/P®, LEED ID+C®, LEED EB®, Fitwel®, DOE ZERO Energy Homes Verifier, DOE-Home Energy Assessor, Building Analyst, and has over 12 years of experience as Sustainability General Contractor and disaster mitigation specialist. Maria has also been involved with different organizations and committees including Housing Urban Development, National Renewable Energy Laboratory, and AIA Miami Resilient Recovery Task Force as both an advisor and a consultant.
