Dr. Barbara McCabe manages LEO’s Sustainability & Emissions Services Program. She also manages Leonardo Academy’s Cleaner & Greener® Program that certifies the emissions offsetting of buildings, organizations, and events. Barbara has five years of experience working with LEO.
Barbara has experience working on many types of sustainability and emissions projects. She has worked on projects reviewing the overall sustainability of organizations such as the International Monetary Fund and Berkshire & Apogee Enterprises which included emissions inventories. Notable projects of organizational emissions inventory include Milliken, Brandix, & Johnson Foundation. She has assessed the emissions of more than 50 buildings as part of their process of LEED-EB® certification.
Barbara has also led prestigious projects such as the GSA Training Conferences & Expos, GovEnergy, IFMA World Work Places’ & IFMA Fusions’, and the Deutsche Bank Managing Directors Conference. She helped these event organizers identify and procure offsets for the emissions caused by these events.
Additionally, Barbara developed the Leonardo Academy Exhibitor Sustainability Scorecard, which has been used at all conferences and expos that have included the Exhibitor Sustainability Program. She has conducted the analysis of the scorecard for the events and represented the scorecard program with attendance at various events.
Barbara has also been involved in the development of LEO’s ANSI Standard for Emissions, Offsets & Reduction Credits, ANSI approved standard – LEO-5000.
